Zero Tolerance is a group for people who want to brew beer without gluten. Many individuals in the group have received a Celiac Disease diagnosis or have another medical reason to avoid gluten. Others are interested in learning how to brew beer for friends and family who fall into that category, or simply have an interest in using alternative grains to brew delicious beer.

Whether you’re an amateur just looking to get started or a former homebrewer ready to make the transition and learn some new skills, there is an active community of people making great gluten free beers and ready to share information.

The Zero Tolerance Gluten-Free Homebrew Club was founded by Joe Morris in late 2017 in Portland, Oregon and has expanded to include home brewers all over the US, Canada, Australia, the UK, Europe and beyond. The club has a very active Facebook group and meetings are held once a month including a live internet stream which is also recorded and posted for later viewing.

Zero Tolerance is a reference to the club's focus on naturally gluten free ingredients (e.g. millet, buckwheat, rice, etc). Discussion of "gluten-reduced" brewing methods (i.e. brewing with gluten containing grains and adding protein hydrolyzing enzymes) is out-of-scope for the group. (The topic is covered in the wiki briefly to explain the club's position on these types of beers and why they are not deemed safe for individuals with Celiac Disease or other forms of gluten intolerance).
